Easter - a long weekend, chocolate, and Star Wars. As a kid, all I'd want for Easter was a massive pile of chocolate. But now, I've discovered that if I sacrifice a bit of chocolate, I can get other things as well. And what better time to get Star Wars gifts than Easter (although any time of the year will do...I'll use the Queens Birthday as an excuse if I have to). So I was delighted to see that my first present was this:

My girlfriend ingeniously thought of using chocolate in the moulds, so I ended up getting Star Wars and chocolate...together. You can get the mould from many places, and I'm not sure which one Kate-Lyn used, but I'm going refer you to ThinkGeek.com, my trusty supply of everything geeky and awesome. Possibly one of the most useful and creative pieces of Star Wars merchandise...it's not just a toy that looks like frozen Han, but you actually get to freeze him! And the moulds can be used for anything - chocolate, jelly, even cakes I guess, or you could cast your own figure from clay (don't take my word for it - just an idea, but if it works, I'll take some credit). I also got some Star Wars Mighty Beanz. They're a new spin on the old Mexican jumping bean. Fun to play with, and fun to collect (beans are kind of like eggs...right?). I had a pretty good idea what to expect from my parents (yeah, nearly 21 and still getting Easter presents form Mum and Dad, it's great).

I got the Death Star *pew pew*. The ball is an accurate model of the planet (or in this case, space station), which contains all the pieces for a minifig and mini vehicle, as well as a display stand with information plaque. With the Death Star comes a TIE Interceptor and TIE Fighter Pilot. I love mini vehicles, despite the limited number and type of pieces they use, the detail is always really good, and they're just as fun to build. These make a great collectors item, with many more series to come. As a bonus, the planets can be hung as baubles on a Christmas tree. So 1 down, 2 to go. Then wait for Series 2 in August. So that was my Easter in a nutshell. I'll leave you with a seasonal message from one of my favourite webcomics.
